Meta-analysis of social obstacles to Iran's industrialization (review of the study between 1991 to 2016)

Abstract

Despite the efforts made for industrialization in Iran, it has not been able to become an industrialized country. Research conducted in this field can reveal the obstacles to Iran's industrial growth and provide solutions to overcome them. According to this, the purpose of this research was to review the researches that have been done in this field. In order to achieve this goal, 22 articles related to the research topic were selected and analyzed using the meta-analysis method. The findings showed that the distribution disorder and then the normative disorder were the biggest obstacles to growth of the industry in Iran. Also, the problems that stand in the way of privatization, export problems and the inefficiency of the government were some of the things that were emphasized a lot. These obstacles are fundamental issues that require long-term planning and fundamental changes in the political and economic structure of the country.
