Resilience to cancer remains a social issue and a significant research topic. If sick people can maintain high levels of adaptability and resilience, it will be easier for them to accept the disease. The purpose of the present study is to analyze how patients adapt to cancer. The study was conducted using qualitative and thematic analysis methods in 1401 in Kerman city. The participants in the research were 14 individuals with cancer who were selected using convenience sampling method. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview tool, and the data were thematically analyzed. The results showed that although cancer is a biomedical issue, it also has social and cognitive dimensions. Three themes related to compatibility are multilateral acceptance, optimism, and spiritual life. The final theme was also classified under the title of active resiliancy. The results of the research show that paying attention to morale, increasing resilience, adaptability, and social support in cancer patients is as essential as addressing medical issues. Therefore, it is imperative for policymakers to endorse programs that assist patients and families in these areas. and provide a sense of psychological security to them.
